JK - 4 Spring Concert

Kudos to all who performed in the JK-4 Spring Concert on Friday, June 6! From sea shanties and folk songs to recorder and xylophone, students demonstrated a wide range of skills and huge variety of songs. Here is just a sampling: second graders sang “Purple People Eater” and third graders sang the spiritual, “Oh, Won’t You Sit Down.” Kindergarteners loved singing “Tingalayo” and fourth graders sang the three-song suite “Reflections of a Lad at Sea” after playing recorder. The audience even got to participate when first graders led the audience in the Ghanaian song “Kye Kye Kule.”

Thank you to all teachers who helped with transitions during the concert and to Theresa Brown, who volunteered her time each Friday morning to help work with the second grade chorus.
