What a year!

This year, our students' technology skills grew by leaps and bounds! For the first time ever, second graders were issued Google Drive accounts, which gained them access to the wealth of tools available in the "G-Suite" of apps. It proved to be a wonderful learning tool, as they turned out many digital projects in just the second half of the school year! Students grades K-5 all stretched their computational thinking skills with coding activities on Code.org and in Scratch, and media literacy and Internet safety was of paramount importance in the upper grades this spring. Without a doubt, Haggerty students are leveraging the power of new technology in their learning!

3D Printing Coming to the Haggerty in the
Fall of 2017
Thanks to the generosity of the Friends of Haggerty, we will be 3D-Printing our own creations next year at the Haggerty! We were able to purchase a "FlashForge" 3D printer, along with a year's supply of printing filament, and we can't wait to see what Haggerty students will create with it. FOH has also allowed us to greatly increase our school's robot population with the purchase of three Ozobot robots, which our students will be programming to zip around our school this fall!

Summer Logins

Students are encouraged to practice with some of the tech tools we use at the Haggerty over the summer! All students grades 2-5 have Google Drive and Google Classroom accounts, while students 3-5 can improve their typing skills in Typing Club and coding skills in Scratch! If students need help logging into their accounts from home, just click here to get their login info

Have a great summer; see you in September!
