On Thursday, November 13th we had our annual International Potluck. We had nine country table displays, including Sweden, Greece, Ethiopia, Lithuania, Pakistan, Mexico, Taiwan, Korea, and Somalia. Families representing these nine countries displayed clothing, flags, books, cultural artifacts and sometimes special food items or drinks. Students were given passports to visit these nine countries, and got they got their passports stamped as they moved along. The food table was bursting with a great variety of delicious dishes from many different countries. 
We were also entertained by a Flamenco dancer and guitarist, who not only demonstrated her dancing but taught the students some basic moves. Thanks to the Friends of Haggerty for helping support this exciting entertainment. After the presentation, families were able to play music from their countries and a dance the rest of the night away. Also thanks to Meliti D., a parent, who translated our motto "Everyone is Different, Everyone Belongs" into many different languages and hung them in the gym. Thank you to all of the many members of our Haggerty community who helped to make this night a big success!
