Have you visited our library?
Whether you are a new to Haggerty, or have been here for several years, it’s possible you’ve never made it up to the 4th floor. Please feel free to stop by with your child in the morning at drop-off or at the end of the day. We currently have two volunteers for shelving, checking in books and other library management jobs. If you have a free 30 minutes, or more, please consider volunteering in the library.

King Arthur Flour bread makingKing Arthur Flour - Kids Bake For Good!
This free program run by King Arthur was a huge success. Fourth and fifth graders learned how to make the dough to shape into bread, pizza or cinnamon rolls. I delivered  the 50+ loaves of bread to the Bristol Lodge Soup Kitchen in Waltham where they were gratefully received. Thanks to the families who took time from busy schedules to slow down and make bread!

Book Buzz
Book Buzz is a new addition to the Haggerty School assemblies, where students share a book they loved and think others will enjoy. The following students have “buzzed” about these books: Trinity M. (Annie & Snowball by Cynthia Rylant), Robel T. (Super Sniffers), Lucy (Invisible Inkling and the Whoopie Pie War), Halima O. (The Friendship Matchmaker).

Webster'sThird Graders Get Dictionaries
Cambridge Rotary Club members gave each third grader a Webster’s Dictionary and Thesaurus as part of their Dictionary Project. We read the story of Noah Webster and His Words to understand the history behind the dictionary. Ask your third grader to tell you about Mr. Noah Webster!
