On Thursday, March 5th, our Haggerty Students showcased their art and performance skills at the Annual Celebration of the Arts and Talent Show at the West Cambridge Youth Center. Every classroom had a display of beautiful artwork, thanks to our art teacher
Ms. Leed. The talent came from willing 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students. Acts ranged from singing, to instrument playing, to dancing, to dramatic skits. Everyone was so brave and professional - it was a fabulous show! A handful of the teachers even had a surprise choreographed "synchronized swimming" performance act in the middle of the show! It was an enormous hit and generated a lot of "hooting" and "hollering."
This night could not have been possible without the support of staff and parents. A big shout out to the staff members who helped the acts rehearse the entire week of the show:
Ms. Favreau, Ms. Joseph, Ms. Nole, and Ms. Stewart. Also a big thank you to the many parents who helped the night of the show at the welcome table, concession table, and with set up and clean up! A special thank you to parents
Laura Indigo (popcorn queen),
Stephen George (technical assistance) and
Diana MacArthur (art organizer and backdrop creator!).
