Read Across America Day
The Haggerty School community had fun celebrating reading dressed as our favorite book characters at our Read Across America school-wide assembly. Piggie and Gerald (Mo Willems) got us started with their “We Love Books” dance, Mrs. Marfione’s class shared their favorite Pete the Cat (Eric Litwin) book and Ms. Stewart’s class shared the lessons of Wonder (R.J. Palacio) and Ms. Irvin-Kent led us in singing the Read Across America song. If you’re in the building take a tour of our classroom doors decorated with our favorite books. It was a great day to celebrate reading and welcome the Spring like weather.
