Building Our Learning Culture through Literature

Building Our Learning Culture through Literature

As part of the first six weeks of school, our classrooms are focused on creating positive learning communities. Many of these lessons focus on teaching persistence, learning how to initiate, and learning to ask for help. All Haggerty students are learning important messages from their teachers. Some of these messages include:

  1. We can grow our brains
  2. Mistakes help us learn, no one is perfect
  3. Including and taking care of each other is part of Being Kind at school.

Here are some new books you can read at home to reinforce these important messages. We have lots of book recommendations and titles to share. If you are looking for books to support our school’s social, emotional goals, please check the Haggerty Holler for titles, ask your local librarian and/or reach out to us.
