Character Day 2022
Posted on 04/08/2022
On Friday, April 1, we celebrated Character Day, a celebration of reading across our school. The Haggerty Chorus, led by Mx. Irvin, started our day by singing the song, Read Across America. The performance was awesome!! Many students and teachers were heard singing the song during the day, Thank you Haggerty Chorus! After the chorus presentation, we had a Character Parade, where students and teachers walked on a short parade route in the neighborhood. It was a little wet but a lot
of fun.
Throughout the day, guest readers also visited classrooms to read their favorite stories to students. At the end of the day, everyone stopped to read for 15 minutes, a Drop Everything and Read (D.E.A.R.) session. It was an exciting day for our school community. Thank you to all of the caregivers who were able to attend. We hope that you enjoyed seeing all of the creative costumes.
