Thanks to the efforts of our entire school community, Haggerty’s concession stand at Danehy Day was a huge success! Thank you to the many families who supported our school by baking brownies, donating water or juice, making sandwiches, working the stand, popping and bagging popcorn or stopping by to say hello and buy our delicious food! It was a real team effort and all contributions, big and small, are deeply appreciated.
This event would not have been possible without the generous support of our local business donors: Fresh Pond Market, Hi-Rise Bread Company, Iggy’s Breads of the World, Polar Beverages and Trader Joe’s. We would also like to extend a special thanks to parents who spearheaded certain areas: Lisa Harteveldt and Carroll Magill (set up and all day support), Leah Klein (sandwich making host) and Caitlin Roberts and Sally Prassad (all things popcorn!).
The money raised by our Danehy Day concession stand will be used by Friends of Haggerty to fund enrichment and community building activities at our school, such as visits from authors, artists, musicians and performers, as well as field trips and other special projects that enhance curriculum.
