It's been a busy spring in the lab! Here's a peek of what we've been working on...

techK-1: Most recently, our students have been creating digital art in Tux Paint (a free program
) and making music using the elegant and inspiring Chrome Music Lab. Students have also been writing programs for our KIBO robots, which are often seen scurrying around our lab floor!

Grade 2:
Our second graders now have their own CPS Google Drive accounts! We have been busy getting to know how to access these accounts and we are beginning to learn how to create Google Slides presentations.

Grade 3:
Our third graders have been busy learning how to use our new Makey Makey Kits (thanks to Friends of Haggerty!). MaKey MaKeys are an invention kits "for the 21st century," that let you turn everyday objects into touchpads and combine them with the internet. Learn more >>

techGrade 4:
Fourth graders have been learning about digital citizenship and internet safety. By signing into Digital Passport
, our students are able to complete activities that complement the important discussions we are having around these subjects. Learn more >>

Grade 5:
Our fifth graders have also been delving deeply into creative computing with our Makey Makey kits! These students are currently designing projects to showcase at STEAM night, coming up soon on May 24th from 6 to 7:30PM. Hope to see you there!
