By Lucy A. and David B. (Fifth Graders)
On Tuesday, October 28th, the 5th Graders had a salad extravaganza. We were organized into six groups. Each group had two harvesters, two washers, and two choppers. The harvester went outside with Farmer Greg. He showed us how to pick certain plants correctly. We collected tomatoes, carrots, parsley, chives, lettuce, and many others. The harvesters brought it in. The washers washed the plants that we collected.
After that, the choppers chopped them up. Every group tried their delicious salad. We had ranch and Italian dressing. Everyone loved their school-made salad! Everyone felt proud to have made their very own salad. Many thanks to our City Sprouts Farmer Greg!
