2019 International Potluck
Posted on 11/01/2019
On Thursday, October 24th, we hosted our annual International Potluck! We had families, and students, create tables for 12 countries - including Israel, Somalia, Ethiopia, NIgeria, Italy, Japan, Uruguay, England, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, India, Iran and The Gambia! Thanks so much to everyone who put so much effort into these tables. The students used their passports to travel across the world. We were also treated to African drumming and dance by Jafar Manselle and the group, Bamidele Drummers and Dancers. Jafar has taught African drumming at the Haggerty after school for the past four years, so many students already knew him! Thanks to all the families who were able to attend and share food! As always, it was delicious! It was wonderful to share the night with families and staff. Thanks so all those who also helped set-up and clean-up - with special thanks to Carroll Magill for helping with all of it!
